I live in Southeast Louisiana which is part of the Gulf Coast. I have resided here in Slidell, LA for 35 years now, but I grew up in Bay Saint Louis Mississippi. My mother's home is still in Bay Saint Louis and so I am over there quite often. It is a quick 25-minute drive.
From the beginning of my photography career images of the Mississippi Gulf Coast have been a regular part of my work. In 2018 I added the words "and Beyond" to my "Louisiana Dreams" business title to represent my desire to include the magic and beauty of other places beyond the Louisiana border. Some trips abroad to the lands of my ancestors, England and Scotland, certainly have filled my portfolio with images of "Places Beyond." However, the expansive Gulf Coast will always be a beautiful landscape a bit nearer to home that provides me with many photographic opportunities.
This year I have plans to grow my inventory with fresh new Gulf Coast images representing our landscape and culture from Texas to Florida. I have begun close to home by visiting places like Biloxi and Ocean Springs. Colorful shrimp boats at the Biloxi Back Bay docks, and vivid sunsets in Ocean Springs looking across the bay are already popular additions to my body of work. Magical twilight images captured on the beach in Biloxi will inspire anyone to want to make a visit! I hope that you will enjoy this new collection of images.
